What is Assistive Technology?

Any device, product, item, system, or design used by individuals to perform functions that might otherwise be difficult or impossible. Such technology may be something as simple as your common household items such as a carrot peeler to the more complex products such as pressure care mattress for the prevention of pressure areas, housing or vehicle mods. In short, anything that assists individuals continue to carry-out daily activities can be considered assistive technology.

Work is currently going on across government to understand how AssistiveTechnology is used at present for New Zealanders with a disability.

Please let your clients/networks know about this survey, so their voices can be heard.  it is for everyone who uses assistive technology across New Zealand.
